For nearly 30 years, I have served the Tampa Bay Area as a

licensed Mental Health Counselor in individual and group settings.

I use Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)

and have experience working with juvenile and adult sexual offenders.

Clinical Director

  • Conceptualized and implemented clinical programming, scheduling, documentation, and treatment approaches at the Columbus Juvenile Residential Facility (Level 6 Sexual Offender Treatment Program)

  • Responsibilities included compliance with policies and procedures of the Department of Juvenile Justice and G4S Youth Services.

  • Supervised four therapists. Developed a program to unify the treatment approach of the clinical department.

  • Acted as continuing education provider, approved by the Department of Health for the State of Florida.

  • Proven ability in providing training coordination, which includes employing experts in sexual offender specific treatment and adolescent development for education/training of staff therapists.

  • Provided training to direct care staff in male adolescent development and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.

  • Assured that the clinical work met the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual, needs of the youth.

  • Planed, organized, and supervised programs of work, study, and recreation for G4S Youth Services.

  • Consistently instructed and evaluated clients during all phases of treatment 

  • Conducted monthly staff training in REBT philosophy to insure a cohesive environment within the treatment center.

  • Worked with clients in individual treatment experiencing emotional regulation problems, such as: depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and substance abuse.
